All together now
We’ve ummed and ahed (yep: that’s how you spell it) about whether we’re a cooperative,a collective,a community,a club,a clusteror simply a collection of keenness.
And it got us thinking... What is the collective noun for what we are?
Does our industry even have collective nouns?
Owls do (a parliament), apes do (a shrewdness), and peacocks have a brilliant one: an ostentation. Does a baptism of fire count?
Here are a few we’ve come up with for those in our industry:
Designers
Apparently, there is an official collective noun for designers, it’s a set or subtlety.
And the collective noun for painters/artists used to be a misbelief due to their habit of flattering their sitter in order to receive more commissions.
You’d never hear of a designer doing that nowadays, would you? 😉
What say you to… A compromise of designers.

Copywriters?
A 'pernickerty', obvs.

Developers
Depending on the type of developer, what you’ve asked for is either impossible or not at all possible.
A refusal of developers.

Strategists
A dissection?
Or, perhaps a consideration would be kinder?
Or a convolution.
A presentation perhaps?

Project managers
A dismay. Obviously.

Account managers
Account managers are always trying to help. It’s never completely clear who they’re trying to help, but they’re always trying.
An interference.
